Margo B. Smith: SONGS

If We Choose To Love

(Margo B. Smith)
Imagine what a wonderful world we would live in if everyone, everywhere would choose to love when given the opportunity.
Love is an act of the will. Sometimes we don't feel like loving our neighbor, but if we are kind and thoughtful towards them regardless of our feelings we are truly giving the gift of love.
IF WE CHOOSE TO LOVE
Words and Music by Margo B. Smith

There’s a little lady in a cardboard house by the busy street
Skinny arms and tangled hair
She could use much more than a bite to eat
I wonder how I’d feel if I were in her shoes
She’s our sister and needs a hand
It matters what we do

Chorus
If we choose to love it’s going to make a difference
Everyone, no matter where they’re from, no matter their creed or race
If we choose to love it will make a difference
We can make this world of ours a better place

Somewhere there’s a troubled boy huddled in a darkened room
Broken and forgotten he needs lots of love and needs it soon
I wonder how I’d feel if I were in his shoes
He’s our brother and needs a hand
It matters what we do

Chorus

Stranger or friend, it’s all the same
Love is a choice
Love is the way

Chorus
